The 29th Annual Management Convention was on the 21st & 22nd January 2010 and the Main theme was ‘RECESSION TO RESURGANCE’, the sub-themes being ‘Restructure, Re-Organise Resurge’ (HR & Manufacturing), ‘Customer Leadership & Cost Competitiveness’ (Finance & Marketing), ‘Leading Through Innovation’ (IT & Services).
The Convention commenced with the Inaugural Session, at 6.00 p.m., on 21 January 2010, and was followed by a Dinner. On the next day, i.e., the 22nd, there were three Technical Sessions. These were followed by the Valedictory Session at 4.00 p.m.
We were greatly honoured by the presence of VADM. K.N. Sushil NM, AVSM, for inaugurating the convention, Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj, M.D. - Bajaj Fin Serv Ltd., as the Chief Guest and Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan, Chairman & CEO, Rediff.com India Ltd. to deliver the Key note address in the Inaugural Session. We have, as Chairpersons for the three Technical Sessions, Mr. P.N.C. Menon, Chairman, Sobha Group of Companies, Cmde. M. Jitendran, C & M.D. of Cochin Shipyard Ltd. and Mr. C.J. Mathew, Development Commissioner, CEZ, Cochin. The speakers of these sessions are Mr. Amitabh Chathurvedi, M.D. & C.E.O. of Dhanalakshmi Bank, Mr.Vijay Menon, Competency Enabling and Management Academician, Mr. V.N Bhattacharya, Business Strategy Consultant, Mr. A. Satish Kumar , Board Member & Ex-M.D. of Henkel India Ltd., Mr. V. K. Mathews, Founder, Chairman and CEO -IBS Group and Mr. P.K. Mohankumar C.O.O. - Gateway Hotels. Mr. Shibu Lal, C.O.O. of Infosys Technologies Ltd. will be delivering the Valedictory address and Swami Mitrananda, Acharya - Chinmaya Mission Chennai & Director - All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra will be the Guest of Honour for the Valedictory Session.
