about the Awards

The sustainability conversation has evolved. Climate risks are immediate. Resources are under strain. Inequalities persist. Stakeholders demand greater transparency, measurable outcomes, and accountable governance. Sustainability today is not an adjunct to business strategy. It is central to resilience, competitiveness, and long-term value creation. In India, this journey began with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and matured into integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks aligned with global development goals. Increasingly, organisations recognise that economic growth and social progress must advance together.

For nearly seven decades, the Kerala Management Association (KMA) has championed responsible leadership and management excellence. The prestigious Green Palms – KMA Sustainability Awards reflect this enduring commitment. Inspired by Kerala’s iconic coconut palms, symbols of balance, resilience, and ecological harmony, the awards recognise institutions that embed sustainability into strategy, operations, and culture, demonstrating measurable impact and forward-looking leadership.

Previous editions witnessed strong participation, with exemplary projects and best practices showcased across sectors. As always, winners will be selected by an independent international jury, ensuring credibility and rigour in the evaluation process. The awardees will be honoured at a grand ceremony on 22 April 2026 — Earth Day, in the presence of senior corporate leaders and distinguished guests.

Recognition through Green Palms signals credibility, strengthens stakeholder confidence, and positions organisations as benchmarks of responsible enterprise. We invite enterprises, startups, NGOs, Global Capability Centres, and sustainability leaders across South India to share their initiatives and be part of this growing movement toward resilient and inclusive development.
